Fantastic blocks and fantastic fun!!!
This set of blocks was on my daughter’s Christmas list for her 1 1/4 year old daughter. Besides the fact that they’re a little bit time consuming to put together this set of balls is a fantastic toy. Ideally I think would be nice to have two sets so you can build really high buildings and then have the child knock then down. I have more fun playing with my granddaughter with these than just about any other toy that she has

Great quality, lightweight and fun for toddler!
BEST: my toddler squeals in happiness playing with these blocks. I'm not gonna lie, I ordered it while rolling my eyes to the fact that I was literally paying for empty boxes I could probably gather within a month of Amazon purchases. HOWEVER, they are very sturdy and lightweight...my toddler even stands on them for quality check and they don't even budge. So, if you have more money than time to build your own boxes, this is amazing. POSSIBLE LET DOWN: If you don't love putting things together, phone a friend and put it together before giving it to your toddler. IT TAKES FOREVER TO PUT TOGETHER. More like 20 minutes, but still. I absolutely love putting things together, so I had a ball, but if that's not your thing: be warned.

Hours of fun for your young 'uns.
My mother had a couple of sets of these when my kids were young and we all played with them constantly. If we were at her house and the kids were getting bored, out would come the blocks, and the children would be entertained for the rest of the evening! They're lightweight, safe, and surprisingly sturdy- oh yeah, and fun too. This set is for my 1 year old granddaughter, so we can continue the "tradition" with our next generation. Glad I found them!

An Old Fashioned, Honest-to-Goodness TOY
Melissa and Doug 24 pc Basic Cardboard Blocks I bought this set of blocks for my two-year-old granddaughter (who is definitely one of those Lake Wobegone children who is "above average," if I do say so myself!) and she LOVES these blocks. So far she has built trains, walls, and the occasional tower. She loves building little "rooms" and stepping in and out of them. And she loves involving her mom and dad in this play. Large cardboard blocks are some of the best classic, interactive, creative, no-end-to-fun toys ever invented. The large size of the blocks helps a little one feel powerful when they build, and allows them to impact their environment in a very observable way. They are a wonderful way to experiment with space, and to experience autonomy and creation! This set from Melissa and Doug is brighter and prettier than the ones I remember using with my own children, and offer more options because of the three modular sizes included in the set: full size red blocks, half size blue blocks, and quarter size yellow blocks. My only regret is that I didn't buy a LARGER set! They are also very sturdy, although it's a bit early to tell how long they will hold up. My granddaughter is able to stand on them without warping, and she's not a lightweight.

Well worth the money
I am very impressed with this product. The play factor can't be denied. But I'm just amazed at how sturdy they are. You do have to assemble, but it's no big deal once you get the hang of it. And let me tell you, you can't beat the price. They are very sturdy. Surprisingly sturdy! My grandson stands on them and they do not collapse at all. I think they will last a good long time.

Must have blocks!
This blocks are a must have! They are easy to put together once you get the hang of it and have a strong internal structure so they don’t collapse or crush under a child’s weight. Once I got them set up my daughter immediately started stacking them and enjoyed knocking down the tall towers she made. They’re a great developmental toy that encourages creativity and imagination. Some reviewers are complaining that this set is kind of small at 24 pieces and while I agree that it would be fun to build big walls and towers with more blocks, very few of us want to store that many huge cardboard blocks! I feel like this is just the right number to be fun but also practical.

Easy and fun bricks encourage creative play
Big blocks are fun to use! My two boys (5 & 7) have had a set of the red bricks for a while, and I decided to pick these up to see if they would like the different sizes. My 7 year old helped me to fold them all together, so you know they're easy to make, and they have been building forts, castles, houses and who knows what since then. This set comes pretty much with what is pictured here. Maybe 3-4 of the red, largest sized bricks, a couple more of the blue, square bricks, and the rest of the set is completed with the smaller yellow bricks. I can't wait to see what they build with these and their imaginations!

Great fun!
They are a pain to assemble, but once done, they are fun to play with. My granddaughter enjoys knocking them down as a two year old, but will love building when she's older. They are very sturdy, too. She can step on them!

... forever to put together but other than that they’re great and just as expected

Great purchase!
I debated on buying these for my 2 year old son, but am so happy that I finally did! He absolutely loves them and is able to be entertained for hours. He loves building them up and knocking them down :) Please be warned that the blocks will come delivered as flat pieces that need to be folded and assembled. It was a little time consuming, but super easy once you got the hang of it and so worth it to see the enjoyment that my son gets from them!
